Little Smiles of Beverly Hills
A good filling protects a tooth for years. Dr. Sepehr Nassiripour, DDS, restores children’s teeth with the same care he would give his own family, and he explains every option in plain, honest language before treatment begins.
Our Beverly Hills office is also recognized as a leading practice for children with special needs. We adapt each visit to your child’s pace, sensitivity and comfort.
When your child has a cavity, we offer advanced filling options designed to protect their teeth and keep their smile bright. Here is what we use and why.

Composite (white) fillings: we primarily use tooth-colored composite that blends with your child’s natural teeth

Mercury-free and BPA-free: your child’s safety comes first, so every composite filling is free of both

MTA pulp capping: when decay sits very close to the nerve, Mineral Trioxide Aggregate protects the pulp and supports natural healing

Lime-Lite liner: placed under our fillings, it releases fluoride and calcium to help strengthen the tooth

If your child has pain, swelling or a broken filling after a visit, contact us right away. We also provide kids’ emergency dentistry in Beverly Hills.
Every child is different, and Dr. N will recommend the best option after an exam. This table shows what we usually suggest.
| Your child’s situation | What we usually recommend |
| Small cavity | Tooth-colored composite filling |
| Decay very close to the nerve | MTA pulp capping with a Lime-Lite liner, then a filling |
| Very large cavity that has weakened the tooth | Other restoration options, which Dr. N will explain at the exam |
PATIENT REVIEWS
Fillings repair damage, but daily habits prevent new cavities. Brush twice a day, floss once a day and keep regular checkups. For extra protection on back teeth, ask us about dental sealants.
They are restorations that repair a child’s tooth after decay. The dentist removes the damaged part of the tooth and fills the space to restore strength, function and appearance.
Baby teeth help your child chew, speak and keep space for permanent teeth. An untreated cavity can spread, cause pain and lead to infection, so treating it early protects your child’s health and the teeth coming in behind it.
Yes. We primarily use tooth-colored composite fillings, and all of ours are completely mercury-free and BPA-free.
The cost depends on the size of the cavity, the number of teeth, the type of restoration and whether sedation is used. Call us at (310) 362-5310 and we will explain your options and check your insurance benefits before treatment.
MTA, or Mineral Trioxide Aggregate, is a dental material used when decay is very close to the nerve. It protects the pulp and supports the tooth’s natural healing, which can often prevent the need for more extensive treatment.
It is a protective layer we often place under a filling. It releases fluoride and calcium to help strengthen the tooth and promote healing.
Some teeth are too damaged for a filling alone. Dr. N will explain your options at the exam and recommend what will protect the tooth best.
Not always. Depending on the tooth and your child’s needs, Dr. N may also discuss other options, such as silver diamine fluoride (SDF), or recommend a different restoration.
Many children do well with local anesthesia alone. If your child is very young or anxious, we will talk with you about the comfort options available.
